Biography of Radioclit
Radioclit is Etienne 'Dj' Tron and Johan. One French fuck and one Swedish viking-decendant, now based in Hackney, East London. Radioclit started as a web radio in 2003, all for the sake of promoting all kinds of music that we love. We we're already involved in music through production, djing, rapping and throwing parties. We've been very into the whole bass culture from miami bass, to bounce, crunk, funk carioca to baltimore club and always tried to push that super hard. We feel proud we've played a part in the expansion of southern hiphop music in Europe and UK. Radioclit is defenitly not just about hiphop though. It's about rock in all its forms. It's about house, and electrofunk. It's about ghetto music and quality pop music from all over the world. We have been touring and throwing parties in europe for a few years now, for example we where the first people to ever do a grime show in france when we brought Jammer, Ears and D Double E to Paris in april 05. We were also the first to bring M.I.A and Diplo out to paris in 2004 before M.I.A blew. Recently we had David Banner playing at our London Vice residency and we remixed his 'On Everything' single. We allways try to find the newest, freshest stuff and push it damn hard. If possible, work also try to work with the artists at the same time. Since january 06 were doing a weekly podcast called Ghettopop which has picked up very well with more than 20 000 subscribers the first 2 months. We've done our fair chare of mix cd's, a lot of free give aways and some for sale, all loved by the people and sold out in the stores. We just signed a deal for Radioclit as a production team with Counterfeet records, a new label launched by Sinden and Dave Taylor of Switch and Solid Groove fame. Our first singles should drop pretty soon. We 've done stuff with a whole bunch of talented folks including Tunde from Tv On The Radio, One-Two, Stacs Of Stamina, TTC, Ears, No Surrender, Skepta, Tinchy Strider, Bonde Do Role, David Banner.
