Biography of DJ Z-trip

DJ Z-Trip (born Zach Sciacca) hails from the mashup school of hip hop, yet is fluent in many types of DJing, such as techno. A Phoenix, Arizona native, DJ Z-Trip became widely known over the internet when his collaboration with DJ P, Uneasy Listening, Vol. 1, was released in 2001. Only 2000 copies were made, but the album was soon distributed over the Internet in MP3 format. Z-Trip's most recent release, Shifting Gears, marked his major label debut. Released on Hollywood Records in 2005, the album features guest artists Supernatural, MURS, Lyrics Born, Luke Sick, Aceyalone, Mystic, Prince Whipper Whip, Busdriver, Chester Bennington (from Linkin Park), Chuck D (from Public Enemy) and Soup (from Jurassic 5).

DJ Z-Trip is also featured in the 2002 documentary Scratch and is found in special features showing off some technique.

Comment: I've already heard this one but lost it a while ago. Awesome set, just what you'd expect from Z-Trip and Radar. Whats my Dj's Name??

Comment: Good set. A lot of old school. Same ol Z-trip. Worth to have though..

Comment: This is a pleasant enough set, although hardly challenging. It largely comprises various hip hop classics all of which will be owned by any self-respecting aging b-boy. However, these well mixed for the most part and decently programmed and may remind you of a few tunes you've not though of for a while. I particularly enjoyed the mix including apache - no matter haow many times I hear it I never tire of that track.

Sound quality is reasonable for a live recording.
