Biography of DJ Dewdrop

DJ Dewdrop (Don O'Neill) first started DJing in the Seattle area around 1995-96 at ATOI/Starseed outdoor gatherings as an ambient dj.

He rapidly found dub and downtempo and became rather well known as a ambient/dub/downtempo second room chillout specialist. During Groovetech.com's short lifetime, he was one of the only djs to play a beatless ambient set. As a result of his sets on Groovetech, he was asked to be one of two downtempo djs at a monday night downtempo night at The Baltic Room bar. This gig introduced a regular venue in which to hone his crowd interaction skills.

These days DJ Dewdrop has decided to drop the 'Dewdrop' part and go by his 'real' name (Don O'Neill) and also to focus on making his own tracks to spin out with his partner in crime from the downtempo night Ken Wallace. Be on the lookout for tracks by Ron Crosby sneaking into record crates near you!

Comment: Didnt know what to expect when I downloaded this set. Id never heard of the DJ b4 but thought fuck it, I'll try.. it ended up to be a pretty good choice. Its got a wikid unique style to the music Id recomend it for those who like funky ambient beats (if that makes any sense to anyone out there apart from me). Final thought - download it, you aint got nothing to lose - apart from disk space. But it wont be lost, its 65MB put to good use!
