Biography of DJ Tvyks

DJ Tvyks belongs to the most original Czech DJs. Thanks to his unique style, he’s always able to hit the proper atmosphere and entertain the crowd not only in Czech Republic. He lays all kinds of dance music (acid house, dirty house, disco punk, electro, electroclash, electrohouse, hardrock, house, new wave, punk, rave and rockhouse) which gives his sets a great portion of energy.

During the 13 years behind decks he’s performed in some of the most prestigious Europe’s clubs such as Rauw @ Club 11 (Amsterdam, NL), Soiree Zero @ La Fléche D’Or (Paris, F), Le Paris Paris (Paris, F), Sage (Berlin, D), Golden Gate (Berlin, D), Fanklub (Anwerp, B), The Social (London, UK), D! Club (Lausanne, CH) or L’An-Fer (Dijon, F). His colaboration with Swedish producer Hakan Lidbo resulted in a 12 inch released by the world’s famous Paperecordings under name Norr/Východ.

Besides French Connection on Radio 1 and Wow! on Radio Student, Tvyks’ latest endeavor is Plastique, his eclectic club night at Radost FX.

If you’re seeking for a special party experience, Tvyks is your man.

In spring / summer 2006 he had gigs in London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Utrecht and was headlining at two abroad festivals in dance tents - Lounge on the Farm in Canterbury, UK and House of Summer in Goerlitz, D. In the autumn 2006 there are forthcoming gigs in Paris, Rome, Antwerp, Bratislava and more to come.

The freshest thing is the brand new music material made with Über Audio Bros. known for their release on Get Physical last year. Watch out for the release of 12 inch next year on Plastique records Prague. And there is also current colaborating with Czech singer & musician Jesus Chrysler. Their absolutely hot material „How Much Is The Milk?“ is ready to be released in December this year on Duplex records.

In past years Tvyks appeared on stage with DJs and bands like Adam Sky, Hakan Lidbo, Joost van Bellen, Panico, Mark Moore, Vicarious Bliss, Pascal H., Rentboy, Terry Poison, Coburn, Howdi, Team Plastique, Sébastien Léger, Josh Wink, RyRalio, Etienne De Crécy, Ricardo Villalobos, Chris Coco, Northern Lite, Sean Porn, Ben Davis, Jo Jo De Freq, Murray Richardson, Chris Duckenfield, Gregory, Lottie, Bob Sinclar, Jori Hulkkonen, Sven van Hees, Stanton Warriors, Lee Coombs, Mutiny, Len Faki, Terry Francis, Diesel, Elliot Eastwick, Miles Hollway, Erik Rug, Martin Venetjoki, Supa DJ Dmitri, Nils Hess, Haris, Richard Sen, Deep, Zion Train, Mr. C & Shamen, Nick Warren, Darren Price, Clive Henry, 100% Isis, Daz Saund, J.P. and many more

Comment: Well, I'm not sure I would put his in the "techno" category. It's more of a progressive house sound that tends towards a more "rock" and a prog house "electro" sound that seems to be the flavor of the week.

Anyway, I have listened to this 4-5 times and I just can't really get into it. It starts off well enough, but then just becomes uninteresting to me.

If you like some of the sounds mentioned in the first paragraph, you might like this. I don't really. Not that I hate it; it just doesn't really do anything for me.
