Biography of Jay Epoch

When Jason Wohlstadter was born in 1984 there was absolutely no lullaby tape on the planet good enough to put him to sleep. After trying everything, his mother decided to start a music label and produce her own tape. The songs that worked on her son were put on the album. A few years later she had a platinum record and a million dollar deal with BMG. You could say that from a very young age Jason had a good taste for music.

A decade and a half later it was the sounds of DaRude that got interested him interested in electronic music. His interest shifted as he gained enlightement from Paul Oakenfold to Danny Howells and finally, not surprisingly, to John Digweed-- the rest is history, as it didn't take long to get addicted to the sounds of Proton Radio. Jason got involved with the station during his senior year in High School (2002) when his friend Sam Packer was having trouble running the fledgling station on his own. He now hosts the weekly 'Particles' show on the station, helps run the Proton Music label, and is doing his best to help Sam make the station all it can be.
