Biography of Paul Kalkbrenner

Paul Kalkbrenner lives in Berlin and his preferred style is very electronic music. From 1985 to 1990, he learns to play trumpet and theory of music. In 1992, he plays his first gigs at some east Berlin youth clubs. In 1996, he buys first music production equipment and three years later, he starts releasing his music and in the following year, 2000, sees the release of his first album 'superimpose' (BPC016). He also goes on his first tour around germany with other bpitch artists. In 2001, there's the release of the second album 'zeit' (BPC032). The next year, he goes on tour in Japan with ellen allien and also the 'gemeinsam' european tour. 2003 is the year of his big releases 'f..fwd' (BPC062) and 'steinbeisser' (BPC072). In the next year , he releases his third album 'self' (bpc083) and goes on tour again.

He has played all over the world at such venues as; nitsa barcelona, womb + yellow tokyo, club dejavu kyoto, rohstofflager zurich, aera zurich, villa rouge montpellier, barlive montpellier, winkel van sinkel utrecht, phonodrom hamburg, click hamburg, studio 672 koln, art theater koln, u 60311 frankfurt, space place frankfurt, ultraschall munich, kw munich, 1040 leipzig, distillery leipzig, kilowatt dresden, triebwerk dresden, centrum erfurt, kantine erfurt, ms stubnitz rostock, mau rostock, hirsch nurnberg, zoom nrrnberg, m1 stuttgart, gerberei schwerin, h. de. m. hannover, cosmic club munster, airport wurzburg, mufa saarbrucken, berlin globus/tresor, casino, sternradio, polar tv, arena, so 36 u.v.m. and etc.
