Biography of Claro Intelecto
One of the central producers on Manchester's IDM-oriented Ai label, Mark Stewart debuted his Claro Intelecto alias in 2003 with the Peace of Mind 12'. Both tracks from the A-side fared well; the title cut wound up on several year-end DJ lists and 'Contact' was included on Ricardo Villalobos' Taka Taka mix album. In early 2004, Stewart released a second 12' (Section), and a full-length -- Neurofibro, named after a genetic disease that he has suffered from -- followed in late April. As with most of his labelmates, Stewart gleans inspiration from early electro and Detroit techno (Afrika Bambaataa, Model 500, Drexciya), along with U.K. IDM labels like Warp, Skam, and Rephlex.

Comment: I thought this was a very fun set to listen to. Kind of minimal but also got that electro vibe. Wasn't sure what to expect but was very happy to hear something that I would listen to again. Enjoy the beats!

Comment: although the set is a little shorter than the manchester one, i get the feeling that a bit more claro intelecto is put in this one.. more glitchier, i would say, still enjoyable and really good stuff. recommended. too bad for the bitrate.

Contact is a beautiful track, this mix is good for all occasions, great bass. someone said moody, i am with you on that one, big time. he has a banging track on an ai compilation which does not feature on this mix, downtown compilation on ai records, get into it !
