Biography of Gas Mask
The man behind Gas Mask is Kesopulos Panayiotis also know as Dj Yiotis E.
His involvement in the underground dance scene since 1994 together with his 7 year dj experience and his traveling around the world, offered him the advantage to create his own outstanding & powerfull techno style, putting at the same time his own special mark on the endless map of global electronic music!
In 1998 he launched his very own event organization and started to shoot partys with some close friends until 2000. This year Yiotis started to expand his activities to the rest of the country, having deals with major clubs in Thessaloniki and doing bookings on a lot of international dj’s and producers. He had also established very good relationships and co-operations with several local and foreign party promoters, audio - visual artists, performers and photographers !
Influenced by names like Hardfloor, Speedy J, Sven Vath, Chris Liebing, Rush and Glenn Wilson, Yiotis began to realize the swift progress of techno music over the years. Black Box ProdActions made the way to this progress easier ! The main aim of this project is to develop, present and focus to the uptempo and hard side of techno music through various ways such as Dj'ing, event promoting as well as collaborating with other ' true to the underground ' people.
His music taste varies to almost all kinds of music without any taboo. From schranz & hard techno to hardcore, acid, trance, downtempo, industrial, electronica, drum ‘n’ bass, disco. Now on what he plays at his sets … that’s another story …
His current dj style can be described as strong and solid hard - techno with heavy, sharp and distinctive sounds, framed from dark baselines and strange, cutting edge subsounds, rolling between 138 to 155 bpms!
Of course his set depends on the mood, the party and the crowd.
He counts numerous dj appearances, in and outside of Greece such as Egypt and Bulgaria, along with well known artists such as Thomas P. Heckmann, X-Dream, 3 Point Turn, Redhead, Mark Broom, Spirallianz/Midimiliz, James Monro, Dj’ane Lucca, Synchro, Dj Amok, The Hi Fi Princess and many others.
Today with almost perfect mixing skills Gas Mask is the guarantee for an adrenaline fuelled burning dancefloor..!
