Biography of Paul Hubbis

Pavel Hubacek known as Hubbis or Paul Hubbis has been acting as a DJ since 1996. He is a co-founder of agency XBeats in Hodonin (smaller town in Moravia), which unites DJs and producers. Under XBeats name many dance events were held in that region. Besides XBeats Paul Hubiss is represented by Lunar agency, which works in Brno and belongs to best-known and the oldest agencies in Czech Republic.

He appears on the biggest events like Citadela, Apokalypsa, Boomerang and in many Czech and Moravian clubs. He released several mixed CDs, which were appreciated in monthly dance magazine Bassline together with his own production. To the most successful belong audio tuned “Lart pour Lart”, or “Train of thought” and “Out of reality”, which were mixed together with DJ Mischa.

For a few years he is engaged in his own production leading to tracks, that are subjected to success. From last time reminded 4 tracks used on compilation Czechoslovak techno by DJane Lucca on CD/DVD for GameStar magazine, several loops on TechEx002 vinyl, then full track on TechEx003 and his debute album “Curved Reality”.

As a DJ he prefers more sophisticated and sound-based techno mostly by Italian producers (the Naples Sound) like M.Carola, D. Vigorito, G. Parisio, T. Nevada. Sometimes he plays harder techno e. g. Regis, Christian Wünsch, Rumenige etc. His sets are distinguished by sense for exactness, perfect synchronization of each sound, supported by fluent, long and clear mixes, that causes his sets are accompanied specific and unique story.

Experiences from DJing and acquired technics practice is used in his LiveActs. Such performances belong to his further activity and last time is more preferred. Paul Hubiss uses notebook with Ableton software with external controller and together with decks it creates interesting and uncommon musical experience.
