Biography of DJ Ant

ANT is one of the primary DJs and producers for the Stay Up Forever Collective, London, and owner of Powertools Records, one of the many, successful, hard-hitting labels put out through the S.U.F. camp. He has been DJing nationally and internationally since 1994 and leaving his mark on vinyl since 1997. London's infamous free party scene played host to ANT's first DJ experiences and over the persuing decade, he continued making a name for himself DJing throughout the U.K. as well as in countries such as Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, South Africa, Poland, Bulgaria, Sardinia, Ireland, Holland, France, U.S.A., Canada, Czech Republic, Russia, Ukraine, Spain, Israel and Japan.

From the knowledge gained as the in-house engineer for Kinetec Studios for over 4 years, he advanced his producing career and honed his sound furthur by starting Powertools Records, as well as creating The Power Plant, the studio in which he writes his music today. ANT's studio and productions have played host to a variety of like-minded people right through from techno and hardcore's Lenny Dee to hard-dance's Andy Farley, not forgetting to mention all the regular London techno team-mates, namely the Liberators, D.A.V.E. The Drummer and Geezer. Ant has also worked on projects outside of the techno spectrum, creating music for video and TV for the likes of MTV Europe and Sony, as well as recording under pseudonyms such as the dance chart-topping, Stratosphere.
