Since birth, Andrew 'Allsgood' Puusa has been surrounded by music.Coming from a music business family, he wound up more on the music side of things than the business end. As a teen growing up in the suburbs of Toronto, young Andrew had a penchant for making mixed tapes ranging from classic rock, hip-hop, blues and even country for various house parties of whoever's parents were going away from the weekend.
As well as his ear for a good tune, Allsgood's keen talent's in drawing and painting lead him to Toronto's Ontario College of Art, where he majored in bong smoking and casual vandalism, all the while employed part time at various record shops. Due to a not so good experience with psychedelics in his late teens, Allsgood veered away from the burgeoning rave scene in Toronto, opting to immerse himself in the local hip-hop culture. When the more laid back sounds of 'trip-hop' surfaced, Andrew was drawn to it's laidback flow and began collecting the black crack that became his calling.
Eventually a few years after graduating from OCA(D) he began DJing. Now a buyer for one of Yonge St.'s chain record shops, Andrew was soaking up new forms of electronic music like a sponge, always managing to gravitate towards the more refined sounds. Alas, retail became a thorn in his side and a chance encounter lead Andrew to a position at Canada's top importer/distributor of independent music, Fusion 3, where he still holds a sales and marketing position. Since 1996, Allsgood has held down three major residencies, Glide, Synchro and Fascination, always staying ahead of the curve with the music he is playing. His endeavors with music production began with edits and mash-ups on his Get Off Records label to his first release on Truffle Music have been met with great reviews the world over.
Allsgood is currently in the studio working on new tracks and is championing the new disco sounds from around the world at his Fascination monthly as well as other gigs around the city.
